Founded in 1898, Woods Manufacturing Company Limited established its reputation in the textile industry by outfitting the Canadian Army and countless historical expeditions, including the arctic travels of Admiral Richard E.Byrd (USN) and Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen.
Woods produced most of the tents used by the British Army during the South African campaign. They also produced the first gas masks and countless canvas products for WWI and WWII.
Three generations later, Guthrie Woods Products Limited remains faithful to our rich family tradition of craftsmanship without compromise. Our ability to adapt to customers' individual needs over the years has allowed us to maintain our high level commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Most recently our entertainment products and musical accessories divisionhas met with overwhelming success! We have also expanded the range and capabilities of our specialty die work and castings , producing figurines and models from metals and epoxies to meet the needs of our clients' most detailed expectations.
Our successful history is vitally linked to the dynamic corporate leadership of our grandfather, Col. James W. Woods – founder of the original company.
